The 2011 Albert Lea Knights 11AAA team was the first team from Albert Lea to play at the AAA level - the most competitive level for youth baseball in Minnesota.

They not only played at this level but made a valiant run at the MBT State Championships before losing by a score of 7-5 to the eventual MBT State Champion Minneapolis Millers in the semi-finals. This game ended with Tyler Harms hitting a long drive to center field that was caught at the fence with a runner on 2nd base. The 11AAA Knights came back and handled Lakeville North by a score of 7-2 to capture 3rd place in the MBT State Tournament.

This team finished the season with an overall record of 29-11. Their tournament finishes included a 2nd place in the Wayzata Classic, a 2nd place at the Eagan Invitational, and a 3rd place at the Burnsville Invitational.
